Mary Evelyn Love, age 91, peacefully departed this life at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg after an extended illness. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and devotion to those she loved. She was born the daughter of J.D. and Ezella Whitaker in Marshall County.
She confessed her love for our Lord an Savior at an early age and was added to the body of Christ.
She grew up in Mulberry on her parents farm on Springplace Road and began her education in Petersburg, she graduated from West End High School. After her marriage to James Love they were blessed with three children, Jacob Stephen, James Michael and Cheryl, they relocated to Nashville where she continued in higher education and was certified as a Registered Nurse at Meharry Medical College, and worked in service at Baptist Hospital in Nashville until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Love and James Michael Love, and six grandchildren: Jamie Love, Robin Love, Angela Michellel Love, Gerald Love and Jeremy Love, and one other grandson. One brother, Claude (Wendy) Whitaker and many other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Mary Evelyn Love was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. & Ezella Whitaker, her daughter Cheryl Love, and one brother Bobby Whitaker.
